Well, it's been forever and a day since I last posted, but since I was off visiting family in California I think I deserve a pass. No scanner PLUS awkward family times! Anyway, here's a piece I just finished for my advertising concepts class. The assignment was to depict someone reading on a bench while a scene/imagery from the book they're reading plays out behind/above them. I went with fairy tales, Hansel and Gretel specifically. I used Candyland as reference/inspiration for the house, because come on, it's perfect for that sort of thing. I wish giant lollipops grew out of my yard.
Original is 10''x15'', ink and watercolor on cold-pressed illustration board.
