It slices, dices, and juliennes. Pirates are busy, multi-tasking is key.

2x the horribleness
Penny loves her froyo more than either guy.
(I really need to do a Captain Hammer one of these days.)

aceo: peace (not literally)
This is my 100th post here at Will Draw for Cookies, and what better way to celebrate than with some Dr. Horrible fan art? I have 5 of these so far - 4 Horrible, 1 Penny. I need to do a Captain Hammer sometime, but I just keep getting distracted by the good Doctor. He's my favorite and I <3 him.

I'm quite fond of this one for some reason. Freckles! I think freckles are the most adorable things ever. I wish I had some.

aceo: again?
That's what I imagine her thinking. "Really, spider? We're doing this again?"
She is a braver woman than I. Me and spiders are un-mixy things. Give me your snakes, give me your mice, your rats... but please take your bugs and arachnids and go far, far away from me, please.

aceo: hot (pink) pants
Pink! Pink and not red! Also a detour from the "frightened, big-eyed waif" category. Because I do draw other things sometimes, and occasionally they are naked ladies (okay, maybe more than occasionally), and when it comes to naked ladies, I don't so much go in for waif-like. Because I'm not, and neither is most of the rest of the world, and curvy girls are more fun to draw anyway. So there.

aceo: yellow raincoat.
ACEO #2, also from yesterday. A bit of a deviation - yellow instead of red! I like it well enough, but I kind of wish I'd left off the socks.
Rain boots like that are one of my fondest wishes. One day...

aceo: wounded
So after a bunch of aborted painting attempts yesterday (so frustrating), I decided to try my hand at aceo's - as they're known around the intertubes. At least I think that's how they're known around the intertubes. Anyway! Tiny little 2.5'' x 3.5'' works of art.
Verdict? I love them. In the last 24 hours I've done 6. I like working small - kind of ridiculously small, I've been told - so these are perfect. Plus it's a great way to use up the seventy bazillion strips of scrap watercolor paper I have lying around.
This was the very first. Most of the rest are in the same vein - girls, hatching, limited color (mainly black and red, which should come as a surprise to absolutely no one). This is happy fun time art, after all. I have no issues retreating to my artistic comfort zone.
The other day I picked up a set of Staedtler pigment liners, which I broke in on this piece. I think I prefer them to microns. The only problem being that I've never seen them sold singly, and I run through .01 size pens at an alarming speed. Like right now I've got 5 .01 microns in my bag and they're all nearly dry. So unless I can find a source for the single pens, I'll be sticking with microns for my ocd hatching needs.
