character design: greek/modern fusion, part 1

We got a bit of a strange assignment in Concept Art a few weeks ago. We were given a list of characters from Oedipus and told to fuse them with the style of the 50s or 60s. So basically Gladiator meets Pleasantville or Austin Powers. We each chose three characters and did two versions of each. I chose to do one version from each decade.
One of the characters I chose was Jocosta, Oedipus' real mother/wife. This is 50's Iocosta.
And here we have 60's Jocosta, rocking the Jackie O/flight attendent look. She looks a little dead around the eyes, but I think it's just the whole incest thing taking its toll.
